Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Liking the combat so far. east Kyoto hub is definitely a slog though. Boss fights are amazing.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
★★★★½

My first Armored Core game. Loving it so far.
The Sinking City 2
★★★★☆

Great game and huge improvement over the first one. It’s essentially a RE2 clone but that’s okay, more Resident Evil is never a bad thing. First part of the game is a semi-open world and I wish we could see more of it. Felt like right when we were getting into the swing of things — then we were whisked off to more isolated locations. If you liked RE2 Remake + Cthulhu, this is the game for you.
Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny
★★★★☆

If you loved Onimusha this is more of the same. About a quarter of the environments are from the first game too. Orbs are taken in much slower than the original game this time which slows the pace a little. Not quite as good as the first one but still a good game. Can’t believe I’ve never played these games before. One annoying aspect is it’s very possible to get stun locked by ranged attacks multiple times throughout the game.
Onimusha: Warlords
★★★★★

This game still holds up. Story is quick and can be completed in five hours. Excited for the new one to come out. If you like Resident Evil + Samurai’s, this is the game for you.
