Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 9, 2026

This policy describes what information Plynt collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Plynt is operated by Andrew Murillo as a sole proprietor. If you have questions, email [email protected].

Information we collect

Account information

When you create a Plynt account, we collect your email address, a chosen username, and (optionally) a profile photo. If you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-relayed email and a unique Apple user identifier.

Content you create

We store the games you log, ratings, written reviews, lists you create, comments you post, items in your collection (including format, condition, and optional purchase price), and follow relationships with other users. This content is associated with your account so it can sync across your devices.

Connected services

If you connect your Steam account, we store your Steam ID so we can fetch your owned games and playtime. We do not request or receive your Steam password — Steam's public Web API only requires your numeric Steam ID.

Subscription and purchase data

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. Plynt receives a subscription status (active / inactive) from RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We do not see or store your payment card information.

Device and diagnostic data

Like most apps, we receive basic technical information from your device (iOS version, app version, anonymized identifiers) to diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

How we use information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third parties we share data with

Plynt uses the following service providers, each of which processes a limited slice of your data on our behalf:

Your rights and choices

Children

Plynt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information from our active systems. Backups may persist for up to 30 days before being overwritten.

Security

Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on Supabase's managed infrastructure with encryption at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry-standard practices to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
